Browser Resize Images – Version 1.0 [WordPress].

bandwidth or server space usage.

Everything is configured in “Settings” > “Media”.

It is using power of modern browsers to do the job – Chrome and Firefox would use HTML5 method and other browsers – Flash.
Generally it looks like Chrome is the best for the job (

  1. Upload `browser-resize-images` folder to the `/wp-content/plugins/` directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Addjust settings in “Settings” > “Media”

  • 1.0
    • Release of the plugin – nothing funcy, just basic functionality.

  1. Hallo,

First thanx for this nice plugin but it’s not work for me i have set the size but it upload full size image i have wp 3.4.1

    1. You can see in compability that this plugin is working for WP 3.5+. If you dont want to upgrade, use “resize before upload” plugin. I made it mostly because nothing was working with new gallery system in wp 3.5
